Mochlos Traditional Village in Crete

Mochlos is one of the most traditional aegean villages left on the North coast of Crete. 150m from the shore of Mochlos is a small island. This was probably still connected to the main Island of Crete in Minoan civilization and was an importand harbour.

Mochlos is located about 30 km from Agios Nikolaos. It is off the main road so you will need a car or taxi to get there. There are a few restaurants and cafes as you see at the pictures but really nothing much to do. The beaches near Mochlos are with stones, so this is not a very good place for swimming. The bays around Mochlos are mainly rocky and good for snorkelling. You can swim to the island .There is a small boat for the people who want to visit the island. It worth the visit for the amazing Greek Food that can taste near the small Harbour.

Hello,

This post is really the sweetest on this notable topic. The village retains the traditional elements of Crete intact and is an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday, these are very friendly and you will feel very familiar with them on the first day...
